Born in1962 and
raised
in
San Diego, California, Doug Kenney first worked with
clay as a teenager. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts
degree in Applied Design from San Diego State University
and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Ceramics at the
Rochester Institute of Technology’s School for American
Crafts. He taught ceramics courses at San Antonio
College in Texas, and then was selected as
artist-in-residence at the Shigaraki Cerarnic Cultural
Park in Japan. Noted exhibitions have been held in
Paris, Tokyo, Seoul and many other important cities
throughout the U.S.
